Want to donate your hair?
- Your hair donation should be at least 30 cm long—longer is even better if you can spare it! ❤️
- It’s completely fine if you have layers. Just measure from the longest strand when your hair is tied in a ponytail.
- Your hair must not be chemically treated—no bleach or perm. These treatments weaken the hair and increase the risk of breakage during the wig-making process.
- If your hair has been dyed, we can still use it if the dye is ammonia-free and has been mixed with a 1% developer. Ask your hairdresser to confirm this before cutting your hair.
- Your hair donation must be clean, completely dry, and well-brushed.
- Make sure to gather your hair into one bundle before sending it.
- Register your hair donation by clicking the button below.
Now you’re all set to send or drop off your hair donation! We can't wait to receive it! 💛
Mowing Toftild to Hard Donation?
Unfortunately, we do not offer to cut hard donations ourselves. This is because we do not act as a regular salon, and our times are therefore reserved for those who need help with wig, toupe and more. These people do not have so many other places to go.
Most people who want to donate hair get the hard donation cut at a Toftild Ambassador - You can find them right here. If you do not find an ambassador near you, you are welcome to use your own hairdresser. Most people know how to do it if you say it is for hard donation. Subsequently, you can hand it in personally in one of our 3 stores or send it to us. Some Toftild Hard Donation Ambassadors also collect hard donations and send to us.
Cutting of Hard Donation
It is preferred that the hair is assembled in several smaller ponytails/braids with an elastic that is firmly stuck. The hair is cut approx. 2 cm above the elastic. All cut ponytails/braids are collected in one bundle and are further sealed with 1-2 elastic bands at the top and possibly. bottom. Then you are sure that the severe donation is gathered in the same growing, which is very important.

Why should the hard donation be 30 cm?
The longer the hard donation, the less hair goes to waste. When you make the great gesture to donate your hair, we also want to make sure that the most of the hard donation can be used. Real -haired hawks are attached by hand. That is, every single strand of hair is attached to a web bottom and tied a knot on. So a certain length of the hair is needed to tie the knot on the wig. In a hard donation, there will always be many hairs that are not equal. We have learned that there is too much a waste if the hair is not sufficiently long. And we think that is a shame!

You can hand in your hard donation personally in one of our three departments; Aalborg, Aarhus and Frederiksberg. Here you can get a diploma with your name on.
The hard donation can also be sent to Toftild in a plastic bag or envelope. It is Very important To seal the hair well with one or more tight -fitting elastic bands so that the hard donation remains unified during transport.
If you wish to receive a confirmation that we have received the Harvon Donation, you must REMEMBER To fill in the form that appears when you press "Done your hair" below. It is very important, that you enclose the same email address and that it is Easy readable, when you send your lures. When we receive your hard donation with your email address, we will send a confirmation that we have received your hair. It may take up to one month before you receive your confirmation. That's because the post can be long along the way.
We look forward to receiving your lures ♥

About Hard Donation
The length of your hard donation should be at least 30 cm and preferably longer if you can do without it.
The longer the hair, the less waste. When you donate your hair, we want to make sure that as much as possible can be used. A certain length needs to be used to tie the hairs in the wig, and in a bundle there are many hairs that are not equally long. We have learned that there is too much a waste if the hair is not sufficiently long. And we think that is a shame.
The hair must not have been chemically treated, ie. lighted or permanent. If the hair has been chemically treated, it is often too unlastic and porous to be used in wig production because the individual scales in the hair are not intact.
Colored hair can be used if it has been colored with ammonia -free color and with a beize of 1%. Ask if necessary. Your hairdresser if in doubt.
If your color, clearing or permanently has grown out, the hair may well be used.
Once you have donated your hair it is possible to get a diploma from one of our three salons. You can also print a diploma and fill it yourself. You can find it by clicking here.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer ourselves to cut our hair at Toftild, as we get far more inquiries than we can accommodate. We are not a hairdressing salon in the traditional sense, we spend all our time on customers who need wigs and alternative hair solutions as they do not have as many other people's teders to go.
We recommend that you go to your own hairdresser and send your hair to us, or come by and hand it over even in one of our businesses in Aalborg, Aarhus or Copenhagen.
No, unfortunately, it is not possible to follow its own hard donation "from ponytail to wig" as the donation hair is sorted into colors, lengths and hair structures, mixing so it is ready for further processing. There are approx. 4-5 Unsorted ponytails to make a single wig, so the hair is mixed upon manufacture.
Once we receive your hard donation at the Hard Donation Office in Aalborg, you will receive an email if you have registered your hard donation or attached your mail. Remember to check your spam filter or unwanted post. We receive a lot of hard donations, so it may well take some time before we register your hard donation.
