Back then, the store was called Toftild’s Toupee and Wig Atelier – and today the shop has developed into one of the country’s leading experts in alternative hair. The Toftild branch in Aalborg is still the largest in the country. Here, we have created a safe environment characterized by friendliness, care and expertise, which we are recognized for by many of the clients who have been in our capable hands over the past four decades. Today, the store serves as a knowledge center for everything related to wigs and other forms of alternative hair. All our specialists are trained hairdressers through the official education system and have subsequently completed specialized training in alternative hair at Toftild – and in addition, they genuinely care about helping others.
Being a wig specialist requires a very special outlook on people. It demands a heartfelt desire to help others. And we are more than grateful that we have been able to do so throughout all these years.
We ensure easy access to the store
Our store in Aalborg is spread across several floors. The entrance to the ground floor is step-free and easily accessible for wheelchair users. The other floors can only be reached by stairs, so we recommend mentioning this when booking your appointment or contacting us by email if you have special accessibility needs. This allows us to plan your visit in the best possible way and ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
Parking and public transport
There are excellent parking options close to our store in Aalborg. Right next door you will find a parking garage on Vingårdsgade where it is easy to park. If there are no spaces available, you can also park near Gåsepigen or AKKC. The store is centrally located with a short distance to both buses and trains, making it easy to reach us by public transport as well.
Private consultation rooms
When you have an appointment with one of our alternative hair specialists, it takes place in a safe and comfortable setting in a private consultation room.
At your first visit, you and the specialist will discuss the available solutions and together find the best option tailored specifically to you.
Each visit takes place in one of our private consultation rooms. If you feel uncomfortable seeing yourself without hair, we also have the option to cover the mirror with a blind.
Turbans and hair care
In the store, we offer a large selection of turbans, scarves and sun hats. We have a fitting room where you can try on headwear in peace and privacy.
We also carry a wide range of hair care products for all hair types – synthetic hair, human hair pieces as well as natural hair.

At Toftild Aalborg, you may meet little Carla, who is a permanent part of our team. She is very social and loves being petted.
