Subsidy for wigs
If you have medical hair loss, for example due to alopecia, surgical scars, or radiation therapy, you can apply to your municipality for financial support, as wigs are classified as medical aids. If you need a wig in connection with chemotherapy, you will receive a fixed subsidy from the regional health authority.

When you try on a wig at Toftild, it takes place in a private fitting room together with one of our specialist stylists. Here, you will have the opportunity to try different wigs and possibly scarves if you would like a supplement to your wig.

Synthetic wigs vs. human hair wigs – which should you choose?
When choosing a wig, one of the biggest decisions is whether it should be made of synthetic fiber or human hair. Many still believe that synthetic wigs look artificial – but that is a myth we would like to dispel. With the latest technology, synthetic fiber can now be produced so naturally that it is impossible to see the difference between fiber and human hair with the naked eye.
