I Would Like to Share with You

Being diagnosed with cancer at 25 feels completely meaningless to me. I had trust in my body and believed it was healthy and strong. But in order to make my body healthy again, I had to undergo chemotherapy, which meant that I would lose all my hair. To me, it felt absolutely absurd to throw all my hair in the trash, and I think that would have made the pain even worse.

So in the middle of all this senselessness, it simply felt right to donate my hair, which was suddenly possible because two years earlier I had chosen to stop dyeing it and return to my natural hair color after 10 years.

So that morning, 14 days after my first chemotherapy treatment, when my hair started falling out rapidly, I think it was easier to cut it all off because my hair was given a new purpose instead of ending up in the trash.

And of course, I hope it can help in other ways as well 🙂 both as a financial contribution and as new hair for someone who truly needs it.
