Care Guide for Hair for Life
Congratulations on your new hair. Below you will find a few helpful and simple tips to ensure a great experience right from the start. The better you care for and maintain your hair, the longer it will last.

Hair Washing
Do not wash your new hair within the first 24 hours after it has been fitted.
Remember that your new hair is attached with a water-based skin adhesive – this means the adhesive remains flexible on the skin. Therefore, please keep the following in mind:
• Do not use water that is too hot
• When washing your hair, use a flat hand
• Wash the hair with a moisturizing or color shampoo
• If the hair has length, always use conditioner
• Use a leave-in conditioner spray in the lengths afterwards
When drying your hair, place a towel over it and gently press/squeeze the water out. Avoid rubbing or twisting. The hair and skin adhesive need time to dry slightly. If you rub or twist as you may normally do, the hair may loosen more quickly.
Styling
Do not use excessive heat on your hairdryer.
Avoid applying styling products such as wax directly onto the scalp. As much as possible, use styling products only in the hair itself.
Be patient – trust the process – shift your focus away from your new hair and keep your hands away from the front and hairline. The more you adjust, style, touch, and fiddle with it, the more your new hair may loosen.
Tips and Information
If your new hair is attached with skin adhesive, we recommend washing your hair daily going forward. This helps remove oil and dirt from both the hair and the adhesive – resulting in better durability of the system. Over time, and with guidance from us, we will find the washing routine that suits you best.
Please note that it may take up to 6 months for your skin to fully adapt to the skin adhesive and/or tape. Experiences vary from person to person.
If you exercise frequently or are highly physically active, there may be an increased need for service and adjustment of the attachment method.
It is always possible to adjust the strength of the skin adhesive and create a combination of skin adhesive and tape, or to use tape alone. The system is always tailored to individual needs.
If your new hair is made with a mesh base, you may experience an increased need for service, as the skin adhesive can seep through the mesh. This happens to most people at some point, though not to the same extent for everyone.
If you need to apply additional wig adhesive at home, first cleanse the skin with Multisolvent. Wait a few minutes before applying the adhesive to allow the skin to regulate oil production. Then apply a thin layer of adhesive to the desired area and leave it until it becomes transparent. The hair can then be pressed firmly into place.
