Styrofoam Head for Wigs

A styrofoam head is primarily used with wigs for storage just before use, display and styling. It works as a model of a head on which the wig can be placed to maintain its shape and style.

• Storage: When the wig is not in use, it can be placed on a styrofoam head to prevent it from losing its shape or becoming tangled. It should only be placed on the styrofoam head when it is completely dry and never directly after use. Ventilate it first on a wig stand.

• Styling: You can use the styrofoam head when styling your wig. We always recommend ventilating the wig on a wig stand so excess heat and moisture can evaporate after styling. Afterwards, you can place your wig on the styrofoam head.

• Drying: We do not recommend drying your wig on a styrofoam head after washing. Instead, use a wig stand to allow the cap construction to breathe and ensure the wig is properly aired.

Styrofoam heads are popular because they are lightweight, affordable and easy to work with.
