What do I do if my toupee comes loose?
If you use Hair for Life by Toftild®, we recommend investing in a home kit. If you have one, you can quickly service your hair system yourself if it comes loose – and you are unable to visit Toftild. A home kit includes a small wig adhesive, a small multi-solvent remover, and a rubber sponge.
How to service your Hair for Life toupee
- Carefully clean the hair system with multi-solvent on the area where it has come loose. Make sure the multi-solvent does not go beyond this area, as it may loosen the hair system further.
- Then apply adhesive to both the hair system and your scalp – allow it to dry until the adhesive turns transparent. Afterwards, press the hair system back into place using the edge of a brush/comb. Never use your fingers.
- Avoid physical activity, sweating, or bathing for 24 hours afterwards.
- Finally, we recommend following the care guide provided during your first service. This ensures that you care for your hair in the best possible way.
