Which wig tape should I choose?
Some people wear a wig without bonding – others prefer to use wig tape to keep their wig or hairpiece securely in place. There are different types of bonding products on the market. Toftild has carefully selected a range of products for bonding wigs, toupees and hairpieces to suit every need.
Daily use (1–5 days)
Toftild’s wig tape is available in narrow and wide versions
The tape is transparent and almost invisible through the hairpiece. Hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin. Suitable for daily use. Low adhesion.
Extended use (1–2 weeks)
Redliner
Redliner tape leaves only minimal residue on the hairpiece. The easy clean-up makes this tape especially popular. Medium adhesion.
Extension Tape
Superstick extension tape is known for its fast and strong adhesion. A great option among longer-lasting tape products. Medium to high adhesion.
Permanent use (2–6 weeks)
Lace Front Support
Particularly suitable for hairpieces with lace bases and bases without adhesive surfaces. The tape has a matte finish, making it almost invisible through the hairpiece. High adhesion.
No Shine
This tape is made with a urethane base, making it especially flexible on the skin. The matte surface makes the tape nearly invisible on the hairpiece. Suitable for full bonding.
Geo Bond Blue (available in several versions)
Strong adhesive tape. Very flexible, which makes it our most popular tape. Suitable for full bonding.
Ultra Hold
Super-adhesive tape with the longest and strongest hold. Comparable to Geo Bond.
You are always welcome to contact us if you would like help finding the most suitable tape for your needs. If your hairpiece does not have an adhesive surface for the tape to attach to, it is possible to sew in an adhesive surface – contact Toftild for more information.
Remover
Before attaching the wig to the head, the scalp must be cleansed and degreased. This applies whether you are using glue or tape. If you need to remove adhesive residue from the scalp or the wig, you can use our Cleanser or Multisolvent.
