Care Guide for Platinum Hair
Platinum hair is a blend of synthetic fiber hair and human hair. Your new hair should be treated gently. With the right care, you ensure that your wig lasts longer and maintains its shine, softness, and natural hold. The warranty provided by Toftild covers manufacturing defects only. You are responsible for giving the hair the correct care. We recommend that you follow this care guide.
Wash the wig only when absolutely necessary. With daily use, washing approximately every 7–14 days is recommended. If you perspire heavily, an additional wash may be needed.
If you have any questions about your new hair, you are always welcome to contact us.

Hair Washing
Use only products designed for platinum hair. We recommend Vital Shampoo and Vital Conditioner from Belle Madame, available in our shop. Never use products containing silicone, as these will make the hair difficult to straighten.
Before washing, carefully brush through the wig. Use only a brush or comb with rounded tips, as sharp bristles can damage the knots. Never use a detangling brush!
Mix 2 tablespoons of Belle Madame Vital Shampoo with 1 litre of lukewarm water. Hold the wig flat in your hand so the hairstyle falls naturally over it, and gently move the wig around in the water. Do not rub or twist the hair or pull on the lace front.
Remove the wig and rinse thoroughly. Always rinse from top to bottom to prevent tangling.

Hair Washing
Apply Belle Madame Vital Conditioner to the lengths using a flat hand. You may use a wide-tooth comb to distribute the conditioner evenly. Avoid applying conditioner to the base of the wig, as this may loosen the knots. Leave on for 2–5 minutes and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water – always rinse from top to bottom.
Place the wig in a towel and gently press out excess water. Carefully brush through the hair, always starting at the ends and working your way up toward the base. Finish by brushing thoroughly from root to tip.
We recommend allowing the wig to air dry on a wig stand. Never use a polystyrene or rubber head for drying, as the wig needs proper ventilation.

Styling
The wig can be styled using a flat iron or curling iron. Always on dry hair and at a maximum of 180°C (356°F). To keep platinum hair soft and supple, we recommend thoroughly heat-treating the hair with a flat iron every 3–4 weeks at a maximum of 180°C (356°F).
We recommend using Belle Madame Vital Leave-in Conditioner for extra care. It helps prevent the hair from drying out and makes it easier to detangle. Apply only to the lengths.
It is normal for the hair to tangle during the day – especially at the nape of the neck, where it rubs against your neck, collar, or scarf. To detangle, first use your fingers and then a comb or brush. If needed, use a flat iron to restore the hair’s softness and smooth finish.
