With a lace base, the average durability is 3–4 months. This type can be attached using both glue and tape. Depending on the attachment method you use, service and cleaning at Toftild will be required every fourth week.

In a lace base, the hairs are hand-tied into the base, making this type of construction particularly suitable for cleaning and reattachment.

If you use tape on your toupee, the adhesive strength of the tape will determine how long the toupee stays securely attached to the scalp.
