If you choose a lace base, you get a toupee with excellent breathability. This type may therefore be ideal if you often feel warm or sweat a lot.

With a lace base, the average durability is 3–4 months. This type can be attached using both glue and tape. Depending on the type of attachment you use, servicing and cleaning at Toftild will be required every four weeks.

In a lace base, the hairs are hand-tied into the base. This makes the construction especially suitable for cleaning and reattachment.

If you use tape on your toupee, the adhesive strength of the tape will determine how long the toupee stays attached to the scalp.
